The value for money at Rhino Hotel was incredible. For only $60 a night, we got an amazing room on the executive floor with a comfortable king-sized bed and beautiful city views. The location was perfect, surrounded by restaurants and just a minute walk to the train station. The staff was friendly and always helpful.

The morning meal could be improved with more variety.

The room was great-sized, nicely furnished with a writing desk, lovely ambient lighting and a wonderful view of Kyoto and value for money. Location: the hotel was near public transport, a decent subway station which is easy to transfer from / to and the main sightseeing spots. Ukyo Ward district was worth exploring.

Really enjoyed the room with good equipment, my bed was exceptionally comfortable. Central heating, TV and a fridge were appreciated.

The multi-storey car park entrance conveniently lined up with the hotel entrance, so I didn't have to walk far. The "silky pocket" mattress was so comfy, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The Japanese set menu at the cafe was a refreshing and healthy way to start my day.

The wooden scent in the hotel was so overwhelming, I felt like I was stuck in a giant cedar closet.

Value for money, good choice. A wide array of options for delicious and excellent breakfast.

The hotel had a breathtaking view of Kyoto's peaks, a cozy atmosphere with the warmth of wood, and a Japanese set menu with healthy Kyoto vegetables for breakfast.

Who needs good heating when you can freeze in your room with big glass windows and a confusing air conditioning system?

The staff has always been very helpful. The hotel rooms are brand-new and good sized with free LAN Internet and a writing desk, as for instance.

The hotel's location close to major tourist areas and restaurants makes it a convenient option for travelers. In case of extreme weather events, guests can take refuge in the nearby bakery 'Breads+' or take shelter in the Saiin subway station right by the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer complimentary high-speed internet access, while the friendly staff also offer transport passes from the hotel desk, making it easy to explore nearby attractions.

The hotel facilities lack an accessible swimming pool for young guests with disabilities.

The hotel had friendly staff who provided free WiFi. I really loved the layout and setup of the suite. The receptionist deserves a special mention for their excellent service. Additionally, there is a nearby attraction called Jidaiya Saiin, which is only a short 4-6 minute walk from the hotel and offers beautiful views.

The hotel is exceptionally comfortable with satisfactory breakfasts and helpful staff. Lots of goodies for breakfast.

I keep coming back to this hotel for its great service and helpful staff. On my first stay, they even found me a phone charger! It has everything I need – Wi-Fi, pool, laundry – and it's perfect for a romantic escape. No regrets!

Great Location and Helpful Staff

I loved my stay at Rhino Hotel in Kyoto! The location was fantastic, with easy access to the subway and buses for exploring the city. The staff was incredibly helpful, providing me with maps and recommendations for sightseeing. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in Kyoto.

The free Wi-Fi and the tea and coffee facilities in the room were a nice touch. the hotel is located close to a major bus station and the subway, making it super easy to get around and explore the city. On top of that, the rooftop bar had amazing views of the city.

Our stay during new year was a bit of a letdown. the hotel was extremely crowded and there was no staff available to help with the long lines for check-in and breakfast.
